In
this morning at 9:30 , the Anti-Corruption Commission, in cooperation with the
Kayah Region government, conducted technical training on corruption prevention
to the Corruption Prevention Unit (CPU) established in the Kayah Region
government. During the training, Commission member U Maung Maung Tint addressed
that anti-corruption measures cannot be carried out by the commission alone,
but can only be achieved through the cooperation of all stakeholders. He said
that if the corrupted government officials were taken action by anti-corruption
law, the state would lose human resources. He said that by using the PFP in
public service, better services will be provided if poor performance are
improved by getting suggestions and recommendation from the public. After that,
Director of the International Affairs and Prevention Department explained the duties
of the CPU, Standing Operating Procedure (SOP), Development of Terms of
Reference-TOR and Corruption Risk Assessment (CRA). There was a clear
discussion regarding the Public Feedback Programme (PFP) and a mutual
discussion about practical training how to use PFP.
