Regional Workshop on Prevention of Bribery

    On August 2nd to 3rd, 2018, Deputy Director Daw Aye Myat Mon and Deputy Director Daw Khin Moe Swe from the Anti-Corruption Commission Office, Myanmar, attended the regional workshop on prevention of bribery held in Pattaya, Thailand.

   The regional workshop was participated a total of 150 representatives, including delegates from Anti-Corruption Commission and private organizations, high-ranking officials and legal experts from legislative institutions in the Southeast Asia region.

    By participating in this regional workshop, attendees had the opportunity to explore and share best practices that enhance the administrative aspects of government departments and organizations. They discussed ongoing global and regional legislative developments aimed at preventing bribery of public officials, as well as the potential impact of such measures. Collective actions and alternative approaches were also examined. Additionally, the workshop explored the conditions required for effectively implementing the provisions of the United Nations Convention Against Corruption, the anti-corruption initiatives of regional countries, the cooperative conditions between government organizations, anti-corruption organizations and private organizations, and the educational programs available in this field.
