Korea is carrying out the Corruption Prevention Measures such as the Integrity Assessment, Corruption Risk Assessment, Ethical Compliance Measures for public officials and Public Awareness programmes. And the "Act on the Prevention of Conflict of Interest Related to Duties of Public Servants" was enacted on May 18, 2021. This Act came into effect on May 19, 2022, and was enacted to prevent conflicts of interest in the duties of about 2 million public officials.
Provisions
Article 3 (a), (b) and (c) of "Act on the Prevention of Conflict of Interest Related to Duties of Public Servants" which is enacted that the state should create working conditions in which public officials can carry out their duties in a fair manner without self-interest and the public organizations and to adopt measures to prevent and control conflict of interest situations. And 4 (a)-(b) and (c) which is enacted to avoid situations of conflict of interest that may influence the fair performance of duties as public officials; It is also stipulated that there should be no bias and discrimination and efforts should be made to prevent situations of conflict of interest.
