The state is giving great attention to the fight against corruption, which poses the biggest threat to the country's development and the prosperity of people's lives. In the fight against deeply rooted corruption within our society, the Anti-Corruption Commission works diligently through three key approaches: raising awareness, prevention, and investigation.

    In anti-corruption education, students have been undergoing training since their early years as basic education high school students. The objective is to help them understand the distinction between good and bad behavior and develop critical thinking skills.

    It is of utmost importance for young people to believe in the significance of preventing and combating corruption, particularly for the development of the country and the well-being of society as a whole. They should receive training to cultivate correct thinking patterns, enabling them to prioritize the common good and become anti-corruption citizens. This entails placing the interests of the country and its people above personal gain, as well as the benefit of one's family, relatives, and friends.

    Hence, programs aimed at promoting uprightness and integrity among students and young people are being implemented in basic education schools and universities as a means of education.

    In integrity education, goals are to raise awareness, instill a sense of shame towards engaging in corruption, safeguard society against corruption, foster a fundamental mindset that prioritizes the common good over self-interest, provide instruction on business thinking for anti-corruption efforts, cultivate high-standard citizens within society, and foster a culture of zero tolerance towards corruption. By passing on these values from generation to generation, we can successfully construct a corruption-free society in our country.

    It is often stated that corruption stems from flawed ideologies, and these ideologies can trace their origins back to seemingly insignificant actions within the social environment. Individuals who develop habits of disregarding ethics and regulations, such as cutting in line, cheating in exams, littering in prohibited areas, or spitting betel nut, are likely to cultivate flawed thinking patterns in the future. They tend to prioritize their own interests, as well as the interests of their family, relatives, and friends, over the welfare of the country and the common good.

    In Buddhism, the predominant religion among the majority of the people in Myanmar, the concept of righteousness holds significant importance. Being "good and righteous" is considered a commendable human quality according to Buddhist teachings.

    A righteous individual, driven by their moral compass, refrains from engaging in dishonest and unethical behavior regardless of circumstances or motivations. Promoting integrity among the new generation will prove advantageous in combating corruption in our country's future.
