The opening ceremony of the public feedback program, jointly inaugurated by the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief, and Resettlement and the Anti-Corruption Commission, was held in the collective hall of the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief, and Resettlement this morning at 10:00 a.m. 

    During the opening speech of the Union Minister, she stated that Myanmar has become the 165th member country of the United Nations Convention Against Corruption. Additionally, anti-corruption law (2013), which reasonably related to the government's administrative mechanism to promote clean government and good governance, was enacted on August 7, 2013. The law officially came into effect on September 17.

    Civil servants not only have the responsibility of safeguarding state property, the rights, and interests of communities and citizens from the detrimental effects of corruption but also need to maintain their own integrity, free from any involvement in corrupt practices.

As the saying goes, "Only when civil servants are good, will the state be good." Similarly, only when individuals are free from corruption, can the image of the organization be positive. Furthermore, only when each individual organization is free from corruption, can clean government and good governance prevail. Therefore, it is crucial to avoid engaging in corrupt practices.

    The Minister emphasized that the ministry has formed a Corruption Prevention Unit and has laid down three (3) policies for corruption prevention. Currently, the Terms of Reference (TOR) and Standing Operating Procedures (SOP) for the Corruption Prevention Unit are being drafted.

For the Public Feedback Programme, one CPU has been established for the ministry, along with three CPUs for departments, and a total of 33 DEOs (Data Entry Offices) have been opened. Additionally, six training classes for user manuals have been conducted.

Minister expressed her gratitude to the officials of the Anti-Corruption Commission who will discuss and teach the effective use of the prevention system to prevent small-scale corruption. They will utilize the Public Feedback Program (PFP) technology to communicate vias telephone with the individuals who receive services in the course that was opened. 

    The trainees are encouraged to openly ask questions and engage in discussions regarding the program for receiving feedback from the public, addressing any aspects they wish to clarify or learn more about.

During the course, trainees are expected to study and memorize the lessons taught by the officials of the commission office until they can apply them effectively in practice. In the event of encountering any technical difficulties during practical work, the commission will provide assistance and support in resolving them. He emphasized the importance for trainees to study the technical lessons taught during discussions with a strong desire to excel.

     Afterward, the Union Minister, Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Commission and responsible individuals from the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, along with the officials from the Anti-Corruption Commission office, gathered for a group photo.

The Director of the Prevention Division within the Department of International Affairs and Prevention conducted a comprehensive discussion on the utilization of the PFP Web Portal. The training on how to use the public feedback program will be conducted by the respective individuals over a period of three days, starting from 10th July 2023 and concluding on 12th July 2023.
