Holding the awareness session on corruption prevention

The Anti-Corruption Commission and the Ministry of Ethic Affairs jointly held an awareness session and discussion ceremony on corruption prevention on 9th May 2023 at the meeting hall of the Ministry of Ethic Affairs.
In the meeting, Minister Jeng Phang Naw Taung said that by holding anti-corruption awareness session, the awareness for the staffs from the Ministry on the actions which lead to the corruption, state loss due to corruption will increase and they will free from corruption by knowing disadvantages of corruption and the promulgation of Anti-Corruption law, they can avoid the causes which may appear corruption. The staffs should do their functions without corruption and have to do the anti-corruption as a national cause. They also should follow the main objective of the State Administrative Council-SAC, which is to emerge the Good Governance and Clean Government.

Then, the Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Commission, Dr. Htay Aung said that the “A-Gati” is the deviation of the normal path way. If we observe the five perceptions, we can free from corruption. We should do awareness on the youths to live their lives with the lawkaniti.
As the commission, with the cooperation of Ministry of Education, published and distributed the teacher guide books for the integrity awareness to the basic education students and already negotiated to teach in the respective subjects. He also urged to cooperate with the Commission in the anti-corruption activities in line with the motto “Remove corruption, Promote Prosperity”.
And then, the Director General of the International Affairs and Prevention Department, U Htein Lin, discussed about the anti-corruption law and the Director of the Awareness and Public Relations Subdivision, Daw Zar Zar Moe, discussed about the causes of corruption, its disadvantages and the activities of the Commission.
Deputy Minister for the Ministry of Ethic Affairs’ U Zaw Aye Maung, Permanent Secretary, Director Generals, Director Generals and officials from the Commission, Deputy Permanent Secretary, officials from the Union Ministry Office of Ministry of Ethics Affairs were also present at this event.
