A preliminary consultation meeting was held to discuss the prevention of corruption in the human resources-based system

The meeting organized by the Anti-Corruption Commission through together representatives from the Corruption Prevention Unit (CPU) of (22) the Union Ministries as well as exports, scholars, and member of the United Nations Development Program LEAP project. The event took place at Park Royal Hotel in Naypyidaw, commencing, at 10:00 am. Its primary objective was to facilitate discussions on corruption prevention within the human resource management system identified associated challenges, and foster enhance cooperation and knowledge sharing in the field of anti-corruption.
During the pre-negotiation meeting, key individuals, including Commission member U Zaw Win, and Daw Myat Myat So, UNDP LEAP Project Manager Ms. Valentina Bianchini, and Prof. Mr. Federico Ceschel engaged in discussion related to the meeting's objectives. The main focus was to eacharge best practices in human resource management with regards to Corruption Risk Management (CRM). On May 2020, a workshop for the CPU is scheduled, and the ongoing pre-negotiation the requirements of the CPU teams in preparation for the workshop. The CPU groups, established under the Union Ministries, have been operational for over a year and have already achieved success with the approval and release three tasks and six plans. Plan number three out of six is to review and discuss corruption risk assessment laws regulations and directives for effective management. The discussion emphasized that successful actions the CPU teams could proactively, prevent bribery and corruption in advance.
The attending CPU group officials were divided into smaller discussion groups, and during meeting. The event concluded at 2:00 p.m, with a total of 70 participants in attendance.
