6th INTERPOL StAR GLOBAL FOCAL POINT CONFERENCE


U Lin Wai Aung Assistant Director of Myanmar Commission Against Corruption (Myanmar Anti-Corruption Commission?) attended the 6th Interpol StAR Global Focal Point Conference (17th to 19th November) held in new Delhi, India.

The purpose of 6th Interpol StAR Global Focal Point Conference was to discussed implementation on recommendations of the 5th conference, to discuss and work for bilateral agreement and multinational protocol with respect to retrieval of possession and to enhance capabilities and capacity to effectively use facts and datas obtained from basic organization or communities. (85) delegates from (45) countries attended the conference.

Global responsible personnel are working hand in hand together with Interpol, Stolen Article Retrieval initiative (StAR) that initiated to upgrade sharing of information globally between anticorruption organizations and law enforcement organizations and between each other of the same kind of organizations and also to further enhance their works.

Global responsible personnel may be able to reduce laundering of money earned by corruption and be able to retrieve illegally earned monies and properties timely by working together hand in hand with Stolen Article Retrieval (Possessions Retrieval) Initiative (StAR), International Police Force (INTERPOL), World Bank and UNODC. Thus be able to eliminate safe reaches of monies earned by corruption in developing countries.
