Guiding Conference 2 to enhance combat against illegal Trafficking and Corruption

U Thin Maung a member of Myanmar Commission Against Corruption attended the No. (2) Guiding Conference to Enhance Combat against illegal Trafficking and Corruption, Co-hosted by the Governments of the United States of America and the Philippines hold with UNODC (United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime) support on 26-8-2015.
The conference was held in two parts with each port under one of the two (2) topics of Environment Crime and Trafficking in Persons. The participants discussed after readings respective papers concerning APEC perspective on wildlife Trafficking and paper on Private Sector perspective.
The purpose of the conference is for the Governments, Private sector and International Organizations to work hand in hand and to discuss ways and means in alleviation as well as elimination of corruptions in environmental crimes such as human trafficking (trafficking in persons) and timber smuggling, trafficking in forest products and fish poaching etc.
