        First resumed 9th Session of the Implementation Review Group Meeting was held in Austria, Vienna from September 3 to 5 in 2018. Additionally, the Open-ended Intergovernmental Working Group on the Prevention of Corruption took place from September 5 to 7 in 2018. Both meetings were attended by Daw Myat Myat So, Commissioner of Anti-Corruption Commission Myanmar, and U Than Zaw Win, Deputy Director of the Commission.

        The meeting was attended by U San Lwin, Ambassador from the Office of the Permanent Mission of Myanmar to the United Nations (Vienna), and Daw Su Wai Phoe Kyar, Deputy Secretary, along with the Myanmar delegation. In total, the meeting was attended by (349) representatives from international and regional organizations, including representatives from (102) member countries of the Convention, as well as representatives from (8) civil and non-governmental organizations.    
        By attending First resumed 9th Session of the Implementation Review Group Meeting and the Open-ended Intergovernmental Working Group on the Prevention of Corruption, we learned about the achievements, difficulties, and challenges faced by other member states of the Convention during the review process. This has given us a better understanding of what we need to learn internationally to enhance our country’s anti-corruption prevention and processes, especially in terms of the need for professional assistance. During the anti-corruption task force meeting, we gained valuable insights into the importance and good practices of asset and financial disclosure methods, as well as conflict of interest methods, which can serve as effective tools for prevention. These learnings have provided valuable benefits in complementing the current anti-corruption prevention measures of the Anti-Corruption Commission.
