14th South-East Asia Parties against Corruption(SEA-PAC) Secretariat meeting

        14th SEA-PAC Secretariat meeting was held in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines from July 18th to 19th in 2018 was attended by U Htin Kyaw, Director General and U Lin Wai Aung, Deputy Director of the Anti-Corruption Commission Office, Myanmar.

    The meeting was attended by 25 representatives from 10 SEA-PAC member countries.

     

       By attending the meeting, we learned about the best practices of member countries' experiences, carried out detailed consultations regarding the Terms of Reference that are being drafted for strengthening cooperation on prevention and combating corruption among SEA-PAC member countries and  learned about capacity building programs for officials from member countries implemented by Indonesia(KPK) and the plans to hold the first tripartite Working Group meeting which will be organized by Thailand (NACC), Lao(SIAA) and Cambodia(ACU) in relation to major crimes related to corruption. ASEAN-PAC member countries have benefited from being able to interact more friendly with each other, and as the Myanmar Anti-Corruption Commission, in addition to the current anti-corruption activities, cross-border trade, crimes human trafficking; We will speed up joint research with SEA-PAC member countries on corruption related to money laundering.
