-    Promoting Integrity Best Practices to Investigate Wildlife and Timber Trafficking-2015 Workshop was held in Hanoi, Vietnam supervised by UNODC


U Nay Win member of Myanmar Commission against corruption attended workshop on Promotion Integrity Best Practices to Investigate Wildlife and Timber Trafficking -2015 held under the auspices of UNODC in Hanoi, Vietnam (27-7-2015 to 28-7-2015). Being a Deputy Minister, U Nay Win was appointed to preside the meeting and as such delivered the opening speech.

The following are mentioned in the opening speech by commission member                      U Nay Win:

Enhancement of awareness activities with respect to crimes and corruptions to solve the problems of wildlife extinction and forest deflection as well as to protect their peaceful habitat screening and evaluation of illegal supports. Identification of opportunities for stronger support of integrity and human dignity including what are learned from past experiences in investigations involving anti-corruption complain Upgrading legal based cooperative organization including adequate role for authorities concerned with anticorruption campaign and creating opportunities for cooperation of Government and private sector in identification, prosecution and prevention of poaching or trafficking in wildlife and timber smuggling.

During the workshop meeting

Participants were divided into 3 groups. Each group discussed as follow in coordination at 3 separate places of meeting room –

Group (1) discussed: Administrative matters.

Group (2) discussed about agricultural production.

Group (3) discussed commerce/trading and distribution.

Then each representative from said (3) groups made presentations at the main meeting.
