- ASEAN Integrity Community -The Regional Meeting on an ASEAN Framework for Collaboration on Accountable Governance and Anti - Corruption

Myanmar Anti-Corruption Commission and Transparency International jointly held “ASEAN Integrity Community – The Regional Meeting on an ASEAN Framework for Collaboration on Accountable Governance and Anti-Corruption’’ in Nay Pyi Taw, 16 – 17 December 2014.
The Vice President of the Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Dr. Sai Mauk Kham delivered the opening speech. It was attended by 53 representatives from local and international which included Myanmar anti-corruption chairman and 7 commission members, 4 representatives from UNODC, 12 representatives form TI.
The meeting discussed about ensuring ASEAN Integrity Community under the ASEAN Community where 3 pillars (ASEAN Economic Community – ACE, ASEAN Political and Security Community – APSC, ASEAN Socio-cultural Community – ASCC) are implementing to achieve.
Now anti-corruption is the 1st priority of most countries around the world and should organize a specific community for that sector, so the meeting discussed about frameworks to organize ASEAN integrity community.
