Hosting the 13th Secretariat Meeting of the Southeast Asia Parties Against Corruption (SEA-PAC)

        The Anti-Corruption Commission Myanmar hosted the 13th Secretariat Meeting of the Southeast Asia Parties Against Corruption (SEA-PAC) on May 11, 2017. The meeting took place in the morning at 09:00 at the Hotel Royal ACE, and it was attended by U Mya Win, the Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Commission Myanmar, who delivered a speech.

        The meeting was attended by U Mya Win, the Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Commission Myanmar. Additionally, representatives and officials from member countries of SEA-PAC were also in attendance.

According to the plan, U Mya Win, the Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Commission Myanmar, expressed in his opening speech his pride and happiness in hosting the 13th Secretariat meeting of the Southeast Asia Parties Against Corruption. Myanmar became a member of SEA-PAC in 2013, and since then, the annual meetings have been attended since November 14th. He mentioned his unwavering commitment to attending these meetings and working collaboratively with member countries to combat corruption in the region. In 2016, Myanmar successfully hosted the 12th annual meeting as the chair of SEA-PAC. A significant achievement was the official recognition of SEA-PAC as an entity of ASEAN, which brought great joy to us. This recognition was the outcome of collective efforts by all member countries of SEA-PAC. Chairman U Mya Win also highlighted the approval of the SEA-PAC Action Plan (2017-2019), which was endorsed by member countries. He expressed his belief that the meeting would yield positive outcomes based on this action plan.

Afterwards, following the meeting’s agenda, the Anti-Corruption Commission Myanmar, as the host, took the lead and proceeded with the meeting as scheduled. 

The SEA-PAC Secretariat meeting convenes annually, rotating among member countries, and this year, Myanmar has the honor of hosting the meeting and the Anti-Corruption Commission Myanmar served as the Chair. The meeting took place from May 11 to 12.
